What do I have to do to have a
banner on Cats of Australia?
I can design and make a banner for you. All you need to
supply is a photo and the details you would like to appear on your banner.
Included in the banner can be ONE photo of a cat(s).
Cattery name, website address, e-mail address, phone number & a brief
description of your cattery. Maximum 30 words for description.

These are the steps to take to have a banner
made for you on COA

1. Find a suitable photo. I don't mind how large it is or if
the cat is off centre. I can always resize and edit it. I can also lift a
photo from your website if you prefer. Just describe which photo you want to
use. |
TIP
To attract people to
your banner the most important feature is the photo. A clear
crisp eye-catching photo works wonders. Choose photos that
will appeal to the public. Square photos work within the
banner far better that tall skinny ones. |

2. Think about what you would like to say on
your banner. Maximum 30 words. You may wish to include your phone number,
website address (if you have one) and email
address.
3. Decide the colour you want the banner to be. Tell me for
example, "I would like a dark green banner with white text ' or 'Please use
the colours from my Website'. If
you can't decide you can ask that I decide for you and I will try to make the
banner colour to suit your photograph.
Another method for choosing your
colours is to use the
COLOUR CHART
Simply find the colour you want and send me the code numbers and/or
letters which are displayed above the box. For example: # 515566. This
is the best method to get exactly the right colour.
4. Tell me which State you live in. Banners are listed
according to State.
5. THIS STEP IS OPTIONAL Ignore it if
you are happy for me to choose for you.
If you have a preference for a font for the Header (ie
cattery name) Choice of fonts can be found here:
http://www.dafont.com You can also choose the colour of
your Header.
6. Email me all the above information.

Banners are listed according to the
state the cattery is in. The states are listed alphabetically. The
banners operate on a first come first displayed
system. Unfortunately your
banner will be at the bottom of the list for your state until someone new
adds a banner there. Then you will move up one. Our banner advertising
service has been running since 1998 with many of our original
advertisers still advertising with us today.
How do I work with you to get the design I like?
I will show you the banner I have made for you and will
give you the opportunity to make any changes to it. We will negotiate back
and forth via email until you are happy with the design. When you are
happy with the design we will go ahead with the final product.
What is the cost to post a banner on Cats of Australia?
If you would like me to make the banner for
you the cost is $30 for making the banner + $30 for hosting
for one year.
Total cost will be $60 for the first year only and then $30 for subsequent years.
If you supply your own banner the cost
is $30 per year for Cats of Australia to host it.
The quoted prices on this page are for banners to appear on Cats of
Australia only. If you wish to use the banner on other websites then you
have the option to pay an additional $30 to purchase the banner
outright. You may then use it as you like.
How do I Pay?
I will email you with payment details when you are happy
with the finished result of your banner. You can pay by direct deposit
into my bank account or by PayPal.
Sorry, I do NOT accept cheques.
Can I use my own banner?
You may already have your own banner.
If you choose to use your own banner please email it to me in jpg or gif format (not a word document)
I can only accept your banner if it
is no larger in size than 780 x 300 pixels.
If you wish to use your own banner
please be aware that it may not appear the same size as other banners on
the page, especially when viewed on a wide screen monitor or a laptop.
To guarantee that your banner appears the same size as the majority of
banners on the page it is necessary that I make the banner for you.

If you have two or more breeds and require me to make a banner for each breed:
$30 to design the first banner + $30
hosting for the first banner for the first year.
$20 to design each additional banner + $10 for hosting each additional
banner per year
Example:
You have 2 breeds. Total cost for
first year: = $80. Renewal
fees for subsequent years = $40
You have 3 breeds. Total cost for first year: = $120.
Renewal fees for subsequent years = $50
If you are supplying your own
banner
Example:
You have 2 breeds. Total cost per year
is $40
You have 3 breeds. Total cost per year is $50
