Just to get some idea where every one is sitting when posting on COA and how comfortable are you??
Here is my "puter" room.A spare bedroom re organised and sliding door added and an enclosed deck built for HRH Alex.He does not like being out there on his own so he can see me if I am playing 'puters.

You are well set up their Elaine. Isn't it great how your baby must see Mum and doesn't like being outside on his own. He loves his Mummy wub.gif

That all depends on WHERE I am posting from.

AT HOME: Not at all comfy. The chair is broken and leans forward and your butt goes either numb or constantly slipps off the chair

AT WORK: fairly comfy.....but not overly warm now it's getting cooler.....

I have a nice comfy high back leather chair.
But Chardy likes it too, so it's a fight who gets it first.

Wow, Char! this is luxury... ;-)
I mainly post from work, visiting site every now and then... at home in the evenings sometimes with Yuki on my lap and Lu-Lu is trying to fit on top occasionally but she soon realises that there is not enough space for all... ;-)

If I had a camera I would share a pic too. I have one of those black leather exec chairs too, but mine is from target so I doubt that its real leather lol. When I used to have my old computer screen Salem used to sit on top of it and chase the mouse arrow with her paw while I tried to work on the puter. Now she sits at my feet with Venus on the desk Hubby sits next to me in one of our old dining room chairs which doubles as my foot rest. Soon I will be posting from work when I get the time too. Finally got a computer at work yesterday.

I have a standard desk with an office chair that I bought for $5 from the op shop. Arthie likes to come and either sit on my shoulder, or wedge himself between my back and the chair back to get all cozy and warm. Then he insists on walking on both of my printers and bats the speakers if he doesn't like the noise.

I love those pictures of your Alex, Elaine.

Alex was not too impressed when I changed computers. He found the Mac even for him difficult to perch on.He loved to sleep on top of the old monitor.
Arthie, send some more photos, you are such a handsome lad.

Salem used to have a bad habbit of jumping on top of the back of my exec chair behind my head. And then she used to leap onto my old computer from there. Then one day I bought a new computer with a LCD screen. Little Salem is one fast cat and before I could stop her, she leaped from the chair to the top of the lcd screen thinking she could land safely on it like the old computer moniter. Well next thing I new the lcd screen and Salem both went flying over the other side of the desk. Lmao, Salem was ok but quite shaken up by it and my computer screen was fine. I thought ok, she knows now, she won`t do it again, another month later she does it again, same thing she was fine but a bit shaken but now my screen has a chip out of it and a line of blue goes through my screen. Silly girl, it was so funny but I hope she has learnt her lesson now and doesn`t do it again jj.gif .

Oh, poor Salem. (And poor screen, LOL)

I have an LCD screen also, and both Chardy and Samson get behind it sometimes, it's on the corner so there is enough room behind.

Or they prance back and forwards past the screen to get my attention.

But most of the time they sit or sleep beside me on my right, which is where the window is.
Before I got Samson, I would open the window and Chardy would sit out on the window sill, she loved it out there. But I am not game enough to open it now with Samson, so they have to make do with looking out the window.

I also have one of those cat boxes that came off a scratching post, I have sit it on the desk where they can be inside and still see out the window. Samson has taken this as his own and he is usually asleep inside or on top.

Haven't taught him to use the stubbie holder yet jj.gif

I have a computer nook. Which I can push the chair in and slide the door across and it dissapears. I have to be carefull because the girld like the heat from the HUGE old 19" monitor and I could lock them in. I stole an office chair from work which reclines and sometime sit with my feet on the wall and my wireless keyboard on my lap. The girls no matter where the key board is cant resist doing a little typing of their own!

I built a platform attached to the side of my PC chair-on-rollers. Then I placed a cat basket onto it.

Muffin often jumps into it to sleep and be near me.

Strange thing though: She'll be fast asleep, and I'll go to another room for just a minute or two, and then when I return I'll find she's 'fast asleep' - eyes closed - but now sprawled out on my chair...

And then she'll pretend she doesn't hear my polite coughing and 'hurrumphing' that she should return to her basket. Her eyes remain closed.... whereas ordinarily they'll jerk wide open at the sound of a pin dropping.

So, what can I do but humour her?

She gets squeezed up between my bum and the backrest - lying there half squashed like a mince pate in a hamburger.

Good little back warmer - especially now the winter's coming on. lol.gif

I work from home with a computer supplied by my employer and a fairly good quality but very old office chair, so I'm pretty comfy, as my boss likes to ensure we follow all the "rules" for typists. My workstation is quite an unusual grey laminate and metal one from Ikea which I bought a few years ago. It's even got curtains to "close" the workstation; unfortunately the cats try to climb them so they've never been closed.

Most of the posters on this thread I've not seen posts from before, and boy there are some beautiful cats in the avatars!! wink.gif

Dee, is Chardonnay a tortie point Ragdoll? What ever she is, she's just gorgeous. The large pic of Samson didn't come through, so I haven't had a good look at him.

Kashmir and Jasmine are a beautiful pair too!!

Everyone's cats are beautiful. I never get tired of looking at pictures of everyone's cats.

Growing up in a large family, seating positions were hotly contested.

To avoid bickering the rule of our house became: Once you are out you are out. Too bad so sad.

Cats understand this rule better than any.
