When I first joined here it was to get some info on cat breeds as a buddy for Hector and to deal with his maaaaany neuroses and the like. You were all such a wonderful help! And this is the result!

This is our very first baby photo, before he was picked up from the (very strange) breeder, I'm still not sure about her, but I loved him so much that it was a done deal in any case. Can't just leave him there I guess?

This is us now, he's about 2 years old now and a very funny little guy.
Here's some more assorted photos for you all!

Big fluffy belly to bury your face in!

Of course Hector is still the great love of my life,

Sweet cohabitation! They (all) get along like a house on fire, though when I catch the two cats snuggling Hector will push Rufus away and pretend he wasn't cleaning him, silly boy!

How cute, but perhaps I'm a bit biased!

This is my baby - Milly Molly Mandy.

Gosh, they could well be related, hey! Whereabouts are you from? Melbourne by any chance?

She is adorable, what a pretty girl!

Long way from Melbourne - in country NSW.

Yes, they are so much alike. I love Persians. Already have a Himmy and wanted a blue/white bi-colour boy...but ended up with my black smoke girl!

Those eyes!! Rufus looks just like the character you describe Steph!

It's wonderful to see the black smoke colouring as it should be - my boy (um, not Persian!) was labeled black smoke as a kitten but has grown to be more black rust than anything else!

I'm so jealous that yours are all buddies - my lot won't get within a foot of each other.

Milly Molly Mandy is certainly growing into a stunner too!

Gosh I couldn't handle more than one! He's sweet and very funny but my word is he not so bright! Haha. He has some odd quirks like not quite understanding how glass doors work, we've just moved to a place with glass doors between rooms and it's wrong to laugh, but his persistence is impressive!
They're way too easy to spoil as well, just ask the boyfriend...

He is a gorgeous critter, and I find his winter overcoat tends to take on ginger overtones too, which adds a whole other dimension to his pretty. He charms everyone, then stands across the room looking lovely and showing off!

We have our days! Hector has a belly ache at the moment and isn't feeling too tolerant of his zoomies, understandably! But overall, they get along even if they pretend they don't. They're like proper siblings!
Would love to see yours too! Sounds goooorgeous!

LOL - yes, persians have a beautiful nature, but I agree - they are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Gucci is my blue point Himmy boy, I also have Skitz - grey/blue female moggie, and Scout, blue point Ragdoll girl. I also have a house covered in cat fur!! lol.gif

I'd love to say they all were good mates, but sadly no kitty cuddles happen between my lot.

No cat person's house is complete without a carpet that needs to be vacuumed twice a day to be kept nice. What I would not give for hardwood floors...Sigh.

Your bunch are ever so lovely! Must spend houuuurs with a brush in hand though!

I have an assortment of brushes beside my lounge chair and whenever they jump up for a cuddle I give them a quick going over. But I had a few weeks overseas back in April and when I got back, Milly was quite matted. As she was 6 months then and due to be desexed, I had them clip her matts out while she was under the anesthetic, so the fur is still growing back around her legs.

Most of our house is tiled, but the bedrooms, the study and one lounge room is carpeted, and there always seem to be big hunks of white fur decorating the floors...and the curtains...and the blinds! unsure.gif

I had the same thing, I went away for 2 weeks and came back and his little armpits were a mess, and getting them clipped professionally was a niiiiiightmare. Everywhere wanted to sedate him, which seems moot as he's such a calm little bean, I can do it myself but the clippers broke before I went away. I'm wary of too much anesthetic as they have funny little airways, so I'd rather that only happened in an emergency, to be honest!

Totally feel your pain. I'm going to invest in a super duper vac, cause the rug here looks shameful. One would think we never clean up! Hahaha
