Look into extended stay hotels. They are nice and have kitchens and often welcome pets.

You can call and ask your local shelters to see if they know anyone who takes care of your girl. Also you can post an ad on craislist.org or ebayclassifieds.

I think the best brands in my opinion are EVO and Instincts.

In Topic: Advice on Keeping Cat Indoors

I would do a couple of things.  I would have regular play sessions with kitty to stimulate him.  This means a toy on a poll/string that you move like prey and he can chase and stalk. 10 to 15 minutes, twice a day (preferably once in the morning and once in the evening).  This will hopefully tire him out.

I would also invest in a really good cat tree (or two) so that kitty had places to perch, climb and nest.  Ours are from Armarkat and look like this:

Put it by a window and the kitty will be able to see all kinds of things outside the window without actually going outside.

Finally, maybe leaving a puzzle feeder out will also be a good distraction for kitty.  Put some treats or dry kibble in it and watch as kitty tries to figure out how to get food out.

I know it's difficult, but it's what's best for kitty, so I applaud you for being strong and sticking to your plan!

Good luck!!
