Has he had a faecal test done? Including Tritrichomonas foetus (not included on a regular panel)

Higher quality wet foods or a raw diet tend to create less odour, along with being healthier for the cat.

I agree with ChocolateDots with a good quality diet especially raw seems to help.& yes a faecal test would eliminate any nasties

Well i'm not an expert & am just new to cat ownership. & when i got my cat at 10 weeks all she eat was Hill's Science dry food for growing kitten under one year, sometimes give her raw chicken mince or raw kangaroo mince but not too much as she would probably stop eating the dry food. but i can tell you no bad smell from her litter or poo and i clean it daily.

In general, the less fillers a food has, the less smelly the poop is. That's why raw food often results in less waste with very little smell because it's so bioavailable. After raw, a good canned food of mostly meat (no grains, starchy vegetables, fruits, etc.) is the next best thing.
