Hey all
My partner and I just got a kitten and after a trip to the vet we were told that our kitten does not need wet food as his had a upset tummy

I am rather concerned about this
I am just wondering if any one has any advice
would be great

i was told that too.

But i tried every food out there and all my kitten can eat is those Fussy Cat? Premium Steak and Chicken Mince things from the fridge section in the supermarket, everything else cause him to have serious diarrhea.

I suggest you ignore the vet and find whichever food he can handle.

Ask your vet about poached chicken and rice for a few days ..that is least likely to upset his tummy..once the runny bum settles you can add foods in one at a time to see what may be causing it.

Sudden diet change can cause an upset tummy, keep him on the food he's used to and slowly switch to what you want him on.

I personally wouldn't feed a cat just dry, but some people choose to. My lot are raw fed (human grade meats only) with occasional tinned food, no dry.

Agree with above, feed him chicken and rice for a few days. Also Iams Hairball dry is said to be good for stopping diarrhoea

Also agree with the above comments....just like to add that for stomach upsets I have also mixed cooked pumpkin with the poached chicken and that seems to work well too.
