Well as I've said about 4 am Charlie is usually ready settle down ..so I was pleased but surprized when he asked to get under the covers. He sat on the pillow purring until I noticed him ..duh right ....and then let him under. He was quick to get in ..and I expected him to settle down in the warm for his nap..OH NO!!!
He now needs to VERY thoroughly explore the "under the covers". I SWEAR he divided the bed in a grid pattern and proceded to check every inch ..except the bit I was lying on. He crawled from me to the edge of the bed looked out under the covers, over the edge of the bed...and returned to me..he did the whole left side ...then across the bottom of the bed from one side to another. THEN he did the same up the right hand side then up and out...to stand on my pillow purring .. I thought it was over ....NUh uh ..he did that 3 or 4 more times ...each time ending on the pillow ...grin ... I was surprizingly fully awake by the time he finished. So I got up ..sigh.... -------------------- I could be unstoppable if I could just get started.

lol Bron, I have it done every day by all of my fur kids starting from 6am... they all have to get under the cover, explore, sit there for about 3 min and get out. One after another... I am like a door/doona guard have to let them in...
It is very sweet that Charlie is feeling at home already, very quickly for an adult cat! Jadie has settled already, in fact he now "owns" the place... His attitude towards my girls is as such: "Well, if you don't like me it is your business not mine, I LOVE it here.." So I don't lock him away for the day anymore, he is very capable of looking after himself... lol Nothing more exciting than to welcome a new fur-member in the family... -------------------- ![]() k i s s k a |

Bron, Zoe is always on the bed & with the others it varies. Sometimes one or the other is there or else they are in their favourite spots.

There WAS method in his madness ..last night he was under the covers before I was ...lol...zoomed to his preferred spot ..and settled in ..it was a good spot for ME too..I had a lovely fluffy foot warmer , mind you I kept him on one side of the bed by snuggling down and putting my feet in his way...
No idea when he left ..but I know when he came back ...lol -------------------- I could be unstoppable if I could just get started.

Bron, Charlie has now officially decided he is home and is making himself comfortable. Such a handsome lad sharing the bed,I hope he does not start snoring!!! Looks like you will have to buy a bigger bed. Elaine and Alex Siamese. -------------------- ![]() |
