Well, that's a matter of contention actually. The association I belonged to never actually sent me a renewal - although it's been said that it's been sent. So as far as I'm concerned I don't belong anywhere at the moment. I am however, still on the receiving end of all the member updates...
I'm thinking of a change though. The management committee seem to feel that they can write the rules as they go along. In the recent past weeks I've identified three (yes, three) breaches of their constitution that the committee has made. Enquiries with the Department of Fair Trading are in progress regarding that. |

Judges can withhold challenges on cats. Never seen it done though.
A nomad in the cat world - then you can probably take your pick of associations when the time comes. |

Have certainly seen judges withhold challenges before in fact even been to 1 show where a certain controversial judge did not award any challenges or best of breed to one breed saying none of the cats there were worthy. Funnily enough the other judges had no problems with any of them - this judge is well known for their antics and many will now not show under them. Having a rarer breed ircolour on the bench can work against you but good luck. You won't generally be competing against others until it gets to gold challenges or the group placings - for the challenges you compete within the breed so as long as your cat is presented in top show condition, has no withhold or disqualifying faults, does not go off on the bench and enjoys the showing experience, no reason he should not be able to work through in time to get their challenges. Of course they can only start collecting challenges when they are 9 months of age

I am aware who you are but perhaps you don't want to tell people your name but no idea where you live or lived...and would not have known if you had moved to another State.....lol.....people do move - States and Organisations...
Not long for you to wait now - hope that you are pleased with your new kitten and that it brings you a lot of pleasure. BTW I have had cats have challenges with-held on more than one occasion - sometimes justifiably because not in condition - once shown too soon after rearing a litter, once when my top winning cat ever was showing a bit of burnish on her coat, once for the cat misbehaving....and I have stewarded for judges numerous times that have with-held. Perhaps they don't do that in NSW? |

shame the OP couldn't be bothered to tell people her new cat is an Ocicat that has now arrived at her home, let alone share any pictures with people on this forum, who may not check out other cat forums.
